Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get in touch with you?
You can reach me at 437.747.3827 and centrelinepsychotherapy@gmail.com. You can book directly here.
How do we start working together?
We’ll create a unique, personalized therapy practice for you. The process is deeply customized and personal, and can go something like this: We’ll first meet for a 15-minute consultation, where we’ll gently discuss context, modalities, and get to know one another. If you choose to move forward and work together, you’ll be provided with an intake form and an informed consent form to review and sign. We’ll build rapport and trust, explore your concerns and hopes, and reconnect you with your inner resources throughout our sessions. In each session, we support the growth process with a candid, caring space to give and receive feedback about our time together.
What does psychotherapy cost?
A one-on-one psychotherapy 50-minute session costs $140, which is often covered by employment insurance plans. That fee is for the 50-minutes we’ll spend together in-session and also goes towards things such as the cost of my clinical supervision and office rentals and online platform fees. There is also the work I do in-between sessions including note-taking and reviewing, research regarding the themes that arise in our work, and professional development like courses and workshops. I do keep a number of spots open for clients with financial need who request a sliding-scale or low-cost fee. If you would like to request one of these spots, let’s talk about how we can come up with a fee that is fair to both of us.
Do you work in-person or remotely?
I offer both in-person therapy in the Annex and on the Danforth in Toronto. I also offer online and phone therapy.
What issues do people bring to you?
Some examples of issues that my clients and I have explored include grief, anxiety, depression, loss of meaning, racialized trauma, workplace trauma, loss related to immigration and displacement, co-dependence, shame, family-of-origin conflict, death anxiety, and abuse.
